Your views are needed to help shape Local Healthwatch, the voice for patients, service users and the public on health matters in Shropshire.
Each local authority is required by the Health and Social Care Act 2012 to make arrangements to establish and maintain a local Healthwatch organisation in its area. Healthwatch Shropshire has been working in Shropshire since 2013, and its current arrangement ends in March 2018. We'd like you to help us to shape how Healthwatch in Shropshire will look from 2018 onwards.
Please read the information in our Q and A document and give us your feedback via the 'How to get involved' tab on this page. By completing our questionnaire you'll assist us in shaping a Local Healthwatch in Shropshire that will represent local and diverse communities, tackle inequalities, effectively gather and use people’s views and experiences, and influence how health and social care services are planned and managed.
Your answers will be treated as confidential. They won't be passed to anyone, and you will not be personally identified. Taking part in this survey is voluntary and won't affect any service you currently receive.
Some of the questions in our Helathwatch survey ask about ‘health and social care services’, which are defined as follows:
Social care services include support for all ages – everything from foster care, support at home, day centres and care homes to equipment and personal budgets.
Healthcare services include everything from GP surgeries, hospitals, dentists and community health services (such as health visitors and school nurses) to mental health services and maternity units.
We use the word ‘Healthwatch’ to refer to Local Healthwatch in Shropshire.
