What we do and how to contact us
Homelessness is the most acute form of housing need. A person can be legally classed as homeless if they're living on the street, sleeping on a friend's sofa, staying in a hostel or suffering from overcrowding. To prevent homelessness, the Housing Options team work with you using a range of options to try to keep you in your current home, or assist you to find alternative accommodation.
For housing advice, you'll be contacted within five working days of contacting us (contact details are on all of our webpages). For homelessness enquiries you'll be contacted the same day. The initial enquiry will be dealt with over the phone, but you may be asked to visit your local Shropshire Council hub for a face-to-face interview.
Please be aware that when you're contacted the number may come up as 'withheld'.
