With free access to over 1.5 million academic articles from over 8,400 journals, Access to Research is available in libraries.
British Newspaper Archive
Access to over 1 million fully searcheable pages, including Salopian Journal and Shrewsbury Chronicle. You can create your own account now but to receive unlimited free access visit your local library to sign in.
Ancestry family history
Search your family history using Ancestry’s selection of UK censuses, parish records and many other national and international databases. This resource can be accessed free in your local library, via the public computers in all libraries or via the library Wi-Fi network if provided.
Find my past
Free online access to some collections of Shropshire records on the findmypast website is available through the public computers in libraries; other records on findmypast will require a paid for subscription.
