Shropshire Governor Services

Governors play an important strategic role in ensuring high education standards in schools, and it's our aim to provide services which enable governors to be effective in delivering their roles and responsibilities.

The Governor Services team provides training and development opportunities and a clerking service, which help shape and influence the quality and impact of school governance. These services are traded through a service level agreement (SLA) to Shropshire schools and other local authority areas. Should you wish to discuss this further, please phone 01743 254361.

These webpages run in tandem with the Shropshire Learning Gateway (SLG) to provide information to those who are interested in becoming a governor, and to explain the services we offer. The SLG supports serving governors, so the majority of documents which have previously been accessed via this site are now located on the SLG. Access to some areas of the SLG are password protected. Should you require access, you need to contact the school at which you're a governor for your password.

Please note that as Shropshire Council continues to restructure there may be changes to staff, job titles and service references.
