Although the proposal to merge the Fire Control function with that of another organisation could contribute to delivering some of the budget reductions required by the Fire Authority, it is unlikely to deliver all of the savings necessary to ensure it balances its budget by 2020. Therefore, in addition to this proposal, we are also exploring other changes to your Fire and Rescue Service that our impact assessment has indicated will have little impact on the service you receive. Although we are not seeking specific comment from external stakeholders on these additional proposals, details about them are provided in the draft Integrated Risk Management Plan 2015-20.
