The ceremony room in Oswestry is located at the Shropshire Council area headquarters building at Castle View, Arthur Street, Oswestry, SY11 1JR. It's approved for marriage, civil partnership, civil naming and reaffirmation of vows ceremonies.

Room information

• The ceremony room seats 50 people (including couple, children, babies and photographer) - Update from 22 February, air handling system installed so numbers have been increased from 19 to 50.
• On-site parking isn't available but there are several pay and display car parks within walking distance
• Disabled parking is available on site, and a reserved parking space for the wedding car is also available
• The premises are accessible by wheelchair, and assistance dogs are welcome. An infrared hearing loop is also fitted in the ceremony room
• A music system able to play most CDs is provided in the ceremony room, but we'd encourage couples to test their CD prior to the day of the ceremony to avoid any disappointment in the event that the CD won't play

Availability

Marriage, civil partnership, civil naming and reaffirmation of vows ceremonies can take place, subject to availability, on:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 10am to 3:30pm
• Wednesday: 10am to 12:30pm
• Saturdays/Sundays/bank holidays: by arrangement
