Accessing the Liquid Logic Early Help module (EHM)

The Liquid Logic Early Help module (EHM) is a secure web-based case management system which allows agencies to share information about families confidently to avoid duplication and ensure families get the right service at the right time. The EHM links to both adults' and children's social care, with the aim of promoting a more sensible and joined up way of working.

To get access to EHM, your organisation needs to sign up to the strengthening families information sharing agreement and complete the 'Gateway to using the Early Help module of Liquid Logic' online training (about 30 minutes to complete online). If you need to be able to record an early help episode and make a referral for targeted Early Help support individuals you'll also need to complete the two hour face to face training 'Using EHM to manage an Early Help episode' in Shropshire within 12 weeks of completing the Gateway training.

Supporting families through early help network meetings

Early Help Network Meetings are held every term in each network area. These meetings are free of charge to attend and are an opportunity for professionals from all agencies working with children, young people or their families to share information about services available or issues affecting families within the network area.

Ideally professionals should have Microsoft Teams enabled on their laptops. Dial in to the meetings will be possible but will not provide such a great experience as connecting in through Microsoft Teams.

A calendar invite will be sent to those on our Early Help Network Meeting database for you to accept if you wish to attend. If you have not received an invite please email your name, agency, job title and email address to supportingfamiliesteam@shropshire.gov.uk the Strengthening Families Training Administrator. We will then add you to our database and send you invites to the locality area meetings of your choice and keep you updated with any Early Help multi-agency training. If you no longer wish to receive information on the Early Help Network Meetings or Early Help training please request to be removed from our database by emailing supportingfamiliesteam@shropshire.gov.uk

Solihull Approach - Understanding your child/teen

In Shropshire we deliver a 2 day Solihull Approach Foundation Training to all professionals working with families. The Solihull Approach is a highly practical way of working with families within a robust theoretical structure. It as an evidenced base approach.

The training covers the key principles of the approach and establishes how they link to practice and everyday work. The Solihull Approach explores the quality of the parent-child relationship and how this is crucial to the way the brain wires itself, impacting upon the child’s ability to regulate their own emotions and behaviours. It has a major contribution to make to the ways in which practitioners can work with families to ensure that children have a good emotional start and support throughout childhood.

Free online courses for professionals

We have purchased a multi-user-licence which gives FREE access to three online courses to all professionals working in Shropshire. The courses are around 3.5 hours long and can be accessed at any time and do not need to be completed in one go. This is a great opportunity for professionals to access CPD when it suits their work commitments. It also enables whole teams to access the same training without impacting on capacity and service delivery on a specific day.
