Domestic abuse affects all communities regardless of gender, age, race, religion, sexuality, disability, mental health, social and financial status.

Did you know...

Some 30,475 women in Shropshire will experience domestic abuse during their lifetime. This equates to one in four women being likely to experience domestic violence, from a population figure of 121,900 for women over 16.

24 hour helpline

You can call the domestic abuse helpline on 0800 783 1359. The helpline is run by West Mercia Women’s Aid. It offers confidential support, information, advice and access to refuge or emergency accommodation where necessary. It's a free-phone number, staffed 24 hours a day by trained workers. If you're calling from a mobile you can request that they call you back.
