Parking restriction changes in Shrewsbury

THE SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2009 (VARIOUS ROADS, SHREWSBURY) (AMENDMENT) ORDER

We propose to make the following changes to parking restrictions in Shrewsbury:

a) 'No Waiting At Any Time' restrictions will be placed on:

Bishop Street (south side)

From its junction with Bell Lane for a distance of ten metres in a westerly direction

Bynner Street (southeast side)

From its junction with Trinity Street to a point 20 metres north-east of that junction

Comet Drive (both sides)

From its junction with Ditherington Road for a distance of 17 metres in an easterly direction

Copthorne Road (southeast side)

Across the access for Kelsalls Lane (between nos 205 & 207) – total length 13 metres

Drinkwater Street (east side)

From its junction with Frankwell to a point 15 metres north of that junction

Greenfields Gardens

From a point in line with the southern boundary of property no 47 in a southerly direction on the western side of the road, to the footway access south of no 64, then in an easterly direction to the access between properties nos 75 to 80 and nos 81 to 86, then in a northerly direction on the eastern side of the road to a point in line with the boundary of no 102 with “The Square”

Moston Road (south side)

From its junction with Meadow Farm Drive to a point in line with the property boundary of no 27 Moston Green and no 1 Moston Road

Painters Place

(Turning Head)

From a point 50 metres from its junction with Winterton Way on the eastern side of the road to a point 61 metres from the same junction on the western side of the road, following the kerb-line through the turning head

Richmond Drive (east side)

From a point in line with the boundary of property nos 61 & 63, for a distance of 22 metres in a southerly direction

Spring Gardens (southeast side)

From its junction with Sultan Road to a point in line with the eastern property boundary of no 64

Sultan Road (northeast side)

From its junction with Spring Gardens for a distance of 13 metres in a southerly direction

Swiss Farm Road (east side)

From its junction with Mytton Oak Road to a point 49 metres north of that junction

Wenlock Road (southwest side)

Between points 66 metres northwest of its junction with Armoury Gardens to the property boundary between no 78 and 76

Westminster Close (both sides)

From its junction with Corporation Lane to a point in line with the frontage of no 11

b) 'No Waiting Monday to Saturday, 8am - 6.30pm' restrictions will be placed on:

Racecourse Crescent (northeast side)

From a point 17 metres south-east of its junction with Monkmoor Road for a distance of 32 metres in a southeasterly direction

Racecourse Crescent (southwest side)

From a point 17 metres south-east of its junction with Monkmoor Road for a distance of 20 metres in a southeasterly direction

c) No Stopping At Any Time on the School Keep Clear road markings will be placed on:

Corndon Crescent (north side)

Across the access for the infant school (opposite the junction for Corndon Road) – total length 26 metres.

Corndon Crescent (east side)

Across the access for the infant school (opposite the junction for Rosedale) – total length 26 metres.

Corndon Crescent (south side)

Across the access for the secondary school (opposite property nos 121 to 123) – total length 38 metres.

d) No Stopping Monday to Friday, 8am and 5pm on the School Keep Clear road markings will be placed on:

Corndon Crescent (north side)

Across the front of property nos 121 to 123 (opposite the secondary school access) – total length 38 metres.

Tenbury Drive (south side)

From a point two metres east of the boundary between no 11 and Belvidere Primary School, to the school’s gates

Tenbury Drive/Shaw Road (south Side)

From a point opposite the boundary of property nos 87 and 89 Shaw Road to the Belvidere Primary School gates

Tenbury Drive/Shaw Road (north side)

From a point opposite the boundary of property nos 87 and 89 Shaw Road to a point two metres west of the boundary of property nos 93 Shaw Road and 24 Tenbury Drive

Any existing restrictions at the above locations will be revoked.
